Macaroni Kid Santa Ana in partnership with the Heritage Museum of Orange County presents the opportunity for our children (ages 6-14) to launch their very own startup business!
Kids develop a brand, create a product or service, build a marketing strategy, and then open for customers at our one-day marketplace. We will also have a very special competition for all our youth participants.
Here are the rules and guidelines:
1. Your child will create a product to sell, manage a budget, and sell their product on the day of the fair (3 hours).
2. If an applicant's business idea is similar to entries that were accepted before the applicant's submission, we will notify the applicant and provide the opportunity to resubmit a new application.
3. Applicants must be between the age of 6-14.
4. All entries will be entered in the business competition, and booths will be judged on a variety of criteria, including most original business idea, highest business potential, and best presentation/creativity.
5. Cash prize of $50 per category and age group will be presented at the conclusion of the fair.
6. Parents of younger children may sit at their booth, but the children are to be responsible for setup, sales, and interacting with the customers.
This event is designed to give children a taste of selling a product. Please let them have that experience. Any parent seen selling to the customer or promoting the child's product will result in disqualification from the competition.
We will host up to 50 booths at the 1st annual event at the Heritage Museum on Sunday, February 27, 2022 from 12pm – 3pm. There is a small fee of $5 per business. When your application is approved we will send you an invoice. Register your child here.
