The holidays are quickly approaching, and Rail Events Productions and Warner Bros. Consumer Products are celebrating by announcing that THE POLAR EXPRESSTM Train Ride is coming to Southern California for the first time! This immersive family-oriented experience hosted over 1.2 million riders at 48 locations in the US, Canada, and the UK in 2018. Based on popular demand, Southern California residents will have two locations to choose from in Fillmore, CA (Ventura County) and Perris, CA (Inland Empire). Departures will begin Nov. 14 and continue select dates through Dec. 29. Famed children’s author Chris Van Allsburg will take part in two special book signings on Dec. 4 (Fillmore, CA) and Dec. 5 (Perris, CA) to promote the THE POLAR EXPRESSTM Train Ride and 15th Anniversary of THE POLAR EXPRESS film. To help fans and passengers embark on this new holiday tradition, Van Allsburg will join the fun to kick-off the train ride experience at both Southern California locations, followed by a public book signing of The Polar Express prior to each train departure.

In partnership with Warner Bros. Consumer Products, the magical story comes to life when the train departs for a round-trip journey to the North Pole led by a cast of professional actors. Set to the sounds of the motion picture soundtrack, passengers will relive the magic of the classic story as they are whisked away on THE POLAREXPRESSTM for a magical one-hour trip to meet Santa. Once on board, car hosts will work their way through the coach and punch golden tickets before hot chocolate and a delicious cookie are served by dancing chefs. Passengers then read along with the classic children’s book, The Polar Express, by Chris Van Allsburg. Santa and his helpers board the train to greet passengers and each guest is given the first gift of Christmas. During the trip, characters on each car lead fantastic onboard entertainment – just like in the film! Each guest will take home a keepsake sleigh bell and souvenir golden ticket in addition to the wonderful memories made on this magical trip. Families are encouraged to wear their pajamas for the ride!
