Every little girl dreams of being a princess. For this past National Princess Day, I took my little one to The Royal Reception at Sugar Plum Parties for what I consider to be one of the best princess parties ever!

Sugar Plum Parties is located approximately 15 minutes south of Irvine in Aliso Viejo in an inconspicuous industrial-type of shopping plaza common to Orange County. However, there is nothing common about this place. From the moment you set foot into Sugar Plum Parties, the magic, glitter, sparkle, and all things that make little girl’s dreams come true is evident as the sweet scent of sugar cookies fills the air.
From the moment my daughter entered Sugar Plum Parties, she was treated with royalty by the staff. All the little girls were escorted in and introduced to the facility as parents were quickly checked in.

The first part The Royal Reception consisted of transforming our girls by changing into the proper princess attire which was all provided by Sugar Plum Parties. Gowns were available in several sizes and included Belle, Rapunzel, Cinderella, Aroura, Elsa, Anna, Snow White and even costumes for princes.
Once all the little princesses were dressed to impress, Belle, Aurora, and Snow White made their grand entrance to welcome everyone. The expressions on all the little girls' faces were priceless as they all quickly got up for hugs.
Following introductions, little princesses were escorted to princess hair and glitter nail stations. Although there was plenty of staff available for hair and nails, there was a bit of a wait which only meant that those who were waiting for their turn got to spend even more time with Belle, Aurora and Snow White.

All three princesses engaged with each child talking about their favorite things. There was never a dull moment at this event where my daughter felt she didn’t have something to do or wasn’t sure where to go. There was also storytime and an opportunity to sit around a beautiful table set for a grand tea party for some make-believe tea with royalty.

Snow White also treated the girls with a beautiful song.
The Royal Reception concluded with the coronation of every princess followed by singing and dancing on the Sugar Plum Parties stage with Belle, Snow White, and Aurora. It was obvious by the dreamy looks on every little girl’s face that they all had a magical time. The hour spent at The Royal Reception passed in an instant but is something that my daughter will always remember.
