Cooking...
When it comes to cooking, I'm the dot dot dot. Somewhere between birth and now, I never fully acquired the skills to creatively or skillfully pull ingredients together to cook anything remotely edible. Not only that, I just don't have the time. Like many moms (and dads) out there, I work, attend school full time, and am a full time parent. This leaves me very little time for anything else, especially cooking. I do, however, value a healthy meal and definitely a tasty one! I consider myself a foodie and enjoy good food immensely. That's why when I was given the opportunity to review a couple of Gobble meals, I was thrilled.
Now, I have to plug in my disclaimer here. Yes, I was given free meals to do this review. However, I was already a Gobble member. I have been since 2015. Yes, Gobble has been feeding my family for quite some time now.
For those of you who have never experienced Gobble, I'm going to give you my quick review. I say quick, because other than being healthy, fresh, and good, Gobble is quick and very easy to follow. That's because an executive chef has already done the prep work for you. There's no creating your own sauces or extra ingredients wasted. Plus the easy-to-follow recipes and directions are so simple my husband (and I :-) ) can even do the cooking. Like they say, "10 minutes, 1 pan, 3 steps to create delicious meals that everyone will enjoy!" Now that's pretty awesome.
Delivery Day!
All my meals came packaged in one easy to carry refrigerated box. All my food items were packaged in individual plastic bags, prepped, portioned, and clearly labeled according to meal. The meats were separated in a different compartment and came sitting on top of ice bags. I would guesstimate that this box was sitting in front of my house for a good 7 hours before I brought it inside (~approx 70 degrees outside) and everything was still very cold.
Unpack it and Cook it!
Our meals sat in the fridge for a couple of days before we decided to cook and eat them. When I unpackaged them from the plastic bags, everything was still very fresh, nothing mushy or moldy was found. I first reviewed the instruction card and took out all the supplies I needed according to their supply list on the card.
Then, I flipped the card over and the "cooking" began.

The instructions were easy to follow. Heat up the pan, season the meat, cook the meat, chop up veggies, et cetera and BAM! I'm a certified chef!

Dinner is served! Pan Roasted Bistro Filets with Polenta and Pomodoro Sauce!!
I'm the dinner hero tonight thanks to Gobble with this delicious gourmet meal! Less time in the kitchen and more family time! That's one of my favorite things about Gobble. Every meal is delicious and saves me precious prep and cleanup time in the kitchen that I don't have. Another great thing about Gobble that I've experienced is that you are not committed to just a few meals per week. They have a variety of meals you can choose from and you can order week by week and stop at anytime. If you have a vacation planned, skip that week. If you have family coming into town, order extra. It's that simple.
