Irvine Mom Helps Parents Connect With Their Toddlers in OC

By Dawn Antis, Mom & Tot OC November 24, 2015
Raising a toddler requires constant feedings, changing, and entertaining. The days are
undoubtedly fulfilling but at some point mommy guilt sets in.  Do I get out of the house
enough? Should I attend more playdates? Am I disciplining my toddler too much?
Dawn Antis, founder of Mom & Tot OC in Irvine, encourages moms to strengthen the
bond they have with their toddler by joining her group. “Having something to look
forward to each week is imperative,” says Dawn.  “You can connect with your child and
have fun,” she adds.

The 8-week session is filled with a variety of speakers including a sleep specialist
marriage & family therapist, pediatric nurse, music instructor, a nutritionist, and many
more. Each class begins and ends with an interactive song for the toddlers, every mom
has an opportunity to share something negative and positive about their week, and
an expert gives a 20-30 minute presentation, followed by Q & A.
Crafts are also included throughout the session and a Swim Playdate that highlights the
benefits of toddler swimming at Waterworks Aquatics in Irvine.

As a mother of 18-month-old twins, Dawn understands that options are limited
for moms of multiples when it comes to activities and they are often not
affordable, that’s why she doesn’t charge per child at Mom & Tot OC. The next session
starts January 6th, 2016. Irvine Macaroni subscribers will receive 35% off by entering
